Cosplay Groups


If you are looking to arrange a cosplay group, please use our cosplay forum here to do so. Just make a topic which the group idea you have in mind, or reply to other existing topics. There will be a prize for the best cosplay group in the masquerade, as well as best individual cosplay.

Photography


There will be an official convention photograph session for con-goers to be able to buy professionally taken photos of their cosplays. Full information of this will go up in the next few months.

Panels, Talks & Workshops


This year we plan to have an entire room dedicated to panels, talks and workshops on cosplay. If you have any suggestions, or would like to volunteer to run a panel/workshop, then please check out this topic here.

Cosplay Weapon Rules



1. All weapons and props must be checked at the Registrations & Help desk on first arrival and approved by staff before allowed into the convention.

2. Weapons that will not be allowed under any circumstances:
. Crossbows and archery equipment
. Metal replica guns e.g. .22 airguns or deactivated guns
. Rifles and SMGs
. Metal weaponry
. Pole arms
. Replica handguns

Magazines and batteries as well as caps and incendiaries are also not allowed or if taken, must be handed in to the Registrations & Help desk.

3. Weapons that are allowed:
. Wood/other solid weapons. Must also be sheathed with sharp parts or corners covered
. Props and weapons made from a lightweight material such as card, balsa wood, foam etc
. Unrealistic guns e.g. light guns and plastic toy guns with fitted .blaze. tip
. BBGuns - Magazine must be emptied as well as the battery being removed (either before convention or at the Ops desk) and it must be kept holstered, drawn only for photographs.

In all cases, the weapon or prop must be no longer than 1.6 m (5.2ft). Any items longer this may be used in the Masquerade only and must be handed in to Registrations & Help Desk for safekeeping until then. If they are not handed in prior to the Masquerade they will not be permitted in the event itself
